I know this film is available in both scope and FF formats. Is anyone willing to sell a copy or does anyone know another collector who has it? Would prefer a scope copy but any would do.

I know there is a scope and a flat release on super 8. I have the scope release and I sold a flat print a couple of months back.

A few years back I purchases a scope print, but someone had manually edited out any cursing. It sounded like they sat beside the projector while the film was running and engaged the record button quickly when a curse word was spoken. Pretty sloppy job. Some words were half gone and some non curse words were gone too. [set5_b/set5_b/toetap05.gif] Also, the pot smoking scene was cut out. I sent the print to Lance Alspaugh to have a new soundtrack recorded. Lance does excellent work. [set5_b/set5_b/cheers2.gif]

Keep searching, one will pop up. Scope is your best bet.

That's what I'm really looking for is a scope print. Not edited though. I know there are several prints out ther but where can I find them? The last time I collected film was about 10 years ago and this print was everywhere. A couple people emailed me about it asking if it was a Derann print and I don't think it was. This was before Derran existed.

Dan, if you come across another print will you let me know? I know you have scope print from your noticed but I would like to have one also. Preferrably non-edited but would like a complete print. Not really worried about the pot smoking or cursing. I mean it was an R-Rated print anyway. I saw it when I was 8 and it scared the peaches out of me. Yes I said Peaches again. Also who printed this? It's apparently been out for years. Derran only started business when I got out of this hobby last time and hundreds of these prints were already on Ebay. Was it Ivy Films?

I think it is a beautiful Kempski print from Germany. Sharp as any 16mm I have seen and with stereo sound to boot.

Hey Dan,
Did Lance send your print back yet? I hear he does great work. I've never had to rerecord a soundtrack but always envy people who can do it well.

That was a couple of years back. I've shown it many times since. Lance rerecorded my scope print of Die Hard also.

I don't have any machines that can play back stereo prints so what I'm looking for has to be mono for now. Were the original prints mono or stereo? Have the DVD of Poltergeist so I could use it to transfer the sound for 5.1 but am just recieving a stereo projector. Would like to find an original mono scope print of the film but would accept a stereo print as long as it is the original scope. Any help?
