Apart from the Unit listed and, of course, film, what other equipment is needed to effect the transfers at the speeds listed?

You would need some sort of recording device would be needed. I use a MINI-DV recorder with my TP-66 (4000' max footage).

The only problem with the small transfer machines is if you have a lot of footage or feature you want to transfer, you would need to edit the reels after recording.

Nope, sorry I don't Dan. I have only had two EIKI NT-OT's and two RCA TP-66's.
