How hard would it be to upgrade the Eumig 912 to a two blade shutter and could one be easily and inexpensively found?

Roger, I think the difficulty is finding a shutter for the Eumig and getting to the shutter assembly. I know Steve Osborne at The Reel Image sells shutters for the Elmo ST-1200s. I used to see them on Ebay too for $40. Lee Mannering could us tell a lot about Eumigs and shutters as could Steve Klare.

It's Lee that has said it can be done.... but two of us have asked for more detail on different Forums. No response yet.

Busy boy here folks.....

It was funny that quite a few came to me asking about converting Eumigs to 2-blade shutters at the weekends film fair as well. As soon as I get time I will compose a 'how to' post but at the moment I am playing catch up but I will get round to it when I get a free hour to type it all in.

Not sure if Steve sells 2-blade shutters for the ST's Dan. That is a difficult machine to upgrade design wise and I think the 2-blade option is still in development.
