Hi Dan, Yes I've got an Elmo ST600 motor control board if you can't find one anywhere in the US.
The ST180 has the same board so you might be able to find one locally in the USA easier knowing that.
There might be more ST180 parts machines available than ST600's.
Why not try replacing the big electrolytic capacitor and transistor etc in your existing board first. You might be able to get it working again easily.

Cheers Frank.

Frank, I did replace the big transistor, but no luck. I sent you a Pm.

Hi Dan,
I was curious how you knew there was a problem with your motor control board.
Last night I plugged in my Elmo ST-180 projector and the motor was relatively slow AND there was not enough torque to move the belt.
However, with no power, the motor shaft spins freely in both directions.

What were your symptoms and how did you resolve them?

Thank you!
David

I've had the similar problem with the circuit board on an ST 600 only this time it was playing at 27FPS or higher and controlling the speed pots were of no use. The speed in 18 and 24 the same. I've found out it needed a new rectifier (that's one of the bands that look like a safety pin that fits into the board) and a diode (a harness looking type with a few pins) I found both parts in stock at a local electronics shop; but I'm sure you can find online. That will solve your problem and easy to install.

John
