To my surprise my customer sent me a machine to repair. He said it runs very slow! So I took a look at it. So I took out the motor. As I looked at it I see that its the same as the Elmo GS1200. I checked the motor and turn the motor shaft. It barely moved! It was very stiff. I took the motor apart to see. As I did it fell apart! The motor was completely burnt out! So I replaced it with a GS1200 motor. Put it in and wow it worked just perfect. This was the original motor in side the GAF. I gave it good test run. It ran just perfect. Its a nice machine! Runs Quiet and has excellent sound. Not a bad machine! They were made by chinon! I was never in to the GAF models. But this machine I did like! It gives a sharp picture and has a 150 watt lamp. The lens is a big F 1.3 zoom lens.and it will take 800 ft reels. Not bad! So Remember GS1200 owners the GAF has the same motor! Review by Leon Norris .

Also I found out that the GAF models , 2000s, 3000s, 3100s and the Sankyo stereo 800 all take the same motor as the GS1200 Elmo projector! So that's good to know! Leon Norris.

It would be helpful if you provided some information about the replacement motor.

Elmo part number.
Brand of motor.
Voltage of motor.
Speed (r.p.m.) of motor.
Direction of motor (clockwise or counter-clockwise) .
AC or DC.
Current drawn.
Any additional part numbers that may be on the motor.
