This dual guage Eumig is a sweet little machine. It palys Standard or super 8 sound films. There are two sets os sprokect gears and two aperature plates that are easily swaped out to accommodate the desired gauge. Also, there is a switch to select super 8 or std 8 sound. It's self threading and runs very quite as Eumigs do. It takes a 12volt 100 watt EFP lamp. I have thrown a 6' wide image that looks fine. One volume control and one tone. It has a recording capability too. You can listen to playback through the internal speaker or use the auxiluary line out to an external amp and speakers. The unit is mono. The amp is 15watss. The peed selection is 18fps or 24 fps. Take up reel capacity is 600'. Very light in weigh. The lens on mine is an f:1.3 variable zoom.

I constantly toy with the idea of grabbing one of these from 'the bay'.
I'd like to have a Standard 8 capability.

Incidentally, I just spotted in the photo it looks like it says S807D - are these the same model but different issue dates?

Ooops!! In my sleepy stuper I loaded the wrong photo. That was an 807. I have now uploaded the correct photo. The amp output is 15 watts.

There are differences between the 807 and the 810.The Mark 807 D is dual std 8 and super 8 sound just like the 810. The 807 uses a 75watt 12 volt lamp. 3watt amp output. I'm sure there are other differences. Maybe someone could enlighten us......Steve K. ??

Are these reliable? Are parts easily available? Are there other lenses than the 1:3 available?

Not sure if parts are available, but I do have another 810 fror parts. The lamps are available. I am a new owner, so I will have to see how it stands up over a period of use. I'm very haapy with the std 8 sound quality. The two clutches that adjust the take up and rewind tensions are easy to get to and can be turned by hand. There aren't any belts on this machine.

This is a great machine. After I bought mine I discovered there was a deluxe edition with a better quality lens. Never had any problems with damage. You can rely on this projector to handle your precious films with care, mine is now 40 years old, and still in perfect condition. Only a soundhead had to be replaced.

I also know a fellow collector in Copenhagen, who offers service and parts. He really loves these machines

The S807D takes a 100 w lamp as the S810D. The only two differences are the S810D has a sharper lens and louder sound. That's it. I've worked on these machines for years. Another tidbit of info is if it's running slowly, DO NOT sand the rubber wheels. You'll be losing rubber. You don't want that. It needs a start with only a screwdriver under the motor swivel to force the pin to touch the wheel in FWD and the oth side for REW.
