Just received a standard 8 sound feature from Gerald Santana entitled 3 Stooges Go West. This is a slightly edited version of the original title, Gold Raiders. Gold Raiders ran 56 minutes. 3 Stooges Go West runs around 50 minutes. It is a Walton print and as usual has good contrast, sharp focus and robust sound. Cowboy star George O'Brien plays the lead, but the Stooges are present as much as George. Lots of the typical physical gags too! Thank goodness this has Shemp and not Curly Joe. Mounted on 2x400' reels it looked great on my 8'x6' screen. Never a dull moment. Other well know comics appear like, Fuzzy Knight. Released in 1951, this is one of the boys lesser known films.

Looks good Dan, I'm very impressed by the dimensions of the screen and resolution. What machine are you using and what lens? Do tell.... [set5_b/set5_b/bigear.gif]

That is a nice sharp image. I do mean to get a Std 8 machine at some point- well, probably a Dual machine actually.

So far, the sharpest and brightest prints in std 8 I have are the Castle Digest. These are outstanding!
