I'm a starving artist on a starving artist's budget, but I desperately want a 16mm projector! I have absolute respect and trust in you guys to set me in the right direction. I can do no more than $200 total, including shipping. I'd like a model I can still find belts and bulbs for when that time arises. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if my dream is completely absurd, please let me know (maybe in a private message?!). Thank you.

Nic

So far I haven't found one. Seems the extra ones have cracked drive gears. Hmmmmmmmmmm. I'll keep looking.

In the meantime, check out Goodwill.com. I've bought no film related items from them and was very pleased with the radios, etc, that I did buy. You can even return them if they do not work.

Here are a couple projectors. One is an Eiki and the other is a Pageant. The Pageant is a real work horse. On the Eiki they state it only runs forward, but If I remember right, there is no reverse on this one. You have to take the film out of they gate to rewind. I'm sure someone will chime and verify this one way or the other. The bidding usually does not go beyond around $60 on these. I calculated $39 shipping to Georgia.

On that Eiki - I had a slotload model for a while and it did run backwards.
Of course, you're correct about rewinding, Dan. As far as I know, NONE of the Eikis rewind through the gate.

To be honest, I've always wondered what the use of reverse projection was anyway. I've never seen the need to use it on any of my projectors.
