I just listed The Birds and Moon Pilot on Ebay. Both are on Grey Track I.B. Tech stock.

Dan, I wish one day I could take screen shots like yours. [set5_b/set5_b/conehead.gif] I have tried several cameras & settings and nothing ever looks near what I see on the screen for color or focus. I'm sure I asked before....what setting do you use on your camera?

Wayne, I use an old HP 318 camera. You can find them on Ebay for around $20. The 24mb Flascards can be found too. If you can find the old HP editing program, download it. Mount the camera on a tripod in front of a comfy seat beside the projector and snap the pics in a dark room without flash. Most of the pics will be very good. Just delete the bad pics after you have uploaded everything to your computer.

I have tried three different new cameras, but none could capture the screen shots as well as the old HP. The old HP pics capture what the films look like on the screen.

You can't beat Dan's budget for a camera, and the screen shot quality is very good indeed. Also, I agree that the tripod is essential. However, I believe if you have a newer DSLR or better-quality digital camera, you can use it as well so long as the settings can be adjusted fully manually. That's usually the killer problem. The settings need to be no flash (you knew that!), auto-focus off (implying you need it to be correctly focused by hand, which you can ignore once it's done), an ISO/ASA equivalent of around 800 or 1600, aperture wide open, and a shutter speed of 1/30 to 1/60 depending on brightness and whether the projector's shutter is 2- or 3-bladed.

Grabbed some beautiful screen shots last night but don't have access to the files right now. Maybe later I can come back and furnish you an example later this week.

Hey Dan, looking at the final price of the Birds, do you think film prices are starting to come around or are they still in the tank?

I haven't noticed any drop in prices except on some red prints. I've never sold The Birds before, so not sure what it would bring on an auction and auctions are not predictably anyway.
