I'm not trying to get anyone not to use his product, I was simply trying to point out it is simply mineral spirits & wax not a miracle cureall which some think it is. Urbanski himself will tell you privately he has films he can not get the warp out of no matter how long he soaked them. I bought one from him years ago...I did get the warp out with camphor. I will say it is funny as hell and he was acting like a childish ass for doing what he did...no big loss on my part...the sad part is the emperor has new clothes and no one can see it. I have to sway the sail a bit and say that if another collector is going to act like a child then maybe I should deal with other adults. Have a hard time with somone who could remove another from a list or websight because of a simple opinion. I thought we were here to preserve films and not put each other off. It's very hard to sway my personal opinions but I don't think I'll do business with Larry again if he's going to act like that. I think most of us are more open to opinions.

Larry Urbanski does have an ad on the "Film & Film Related Sellers" page. He offers many much needed supplies for the film collector and is a quick shipper, so I wouldn't stop purchasing his products and supplies.

Dan, you are missing the point, I'm not asking anyone not to purchase from him, it is none of my business and I could care less about his products. I'm simply laughing my ass off that he is so insecure with himself that he feels the need to ban someone for simply telling another collector(s) how to duplicate his special cleaner at a cheaper price. If Erik wishes not to deal with Larry anymore because Larry has no morals...that has nothing to do with anyone else either.

My two cents, I choose to deal with ethical collectors. If someone throws a childlike fit then it concerns their character. That bothers me. Wayne recently sold me prints that took me back to my youth and I've dealt with Dan also. Both are ethical dealers willing to buy and sell to other collectors without throwing a hostility fit and banning people. I do like how Urbanski is usually prompt with his customers and I like his products but I don't want to deal with someone rash enough to run a forum but delete people who I know to be good businessmen. That's a personal choice.

Well, it looks like the answer to the question is - yes. [set5_b/set5_b/party.gif]

I have a sing a long that has warp but no smell. I put it in a plastic bag for a week to make sure I was not missing it and no vinegar smell. It plays well. I agree the answer is yes! I have one print that you can smell vinegar like crazy but no twist or warp just lays flat.
