Did Bell & Howell have their own factory in Japan to manufacture their 16mm Filmosounds?

Or, perhaps, they were made for them by another company.

I know, of course, that the last series 3000 were only badged Bell & Howell and came from Eiki/Elf.

I have one of the Filmosound 1552B autoload machines but where would I look to see where it was made? The serial number badge only has serial and model numbers and as much as I look through the machine I can't see any indication of where it was made. I will say that the badge indicates to be used only at 120V and 60Hrz which should indicate that it is intened only for use in the America's. I think Japan and Hong Kong used 50Hrz cycle.

I know for a fact that the model 666A (marc 300 arc lamp projector) and it's associated power supply were indeed made completely in Japan in 1969. The 666A was primarily used in the UK and operates on 200 to 250 volts AC and 50/60 Hz.

Here is the manufacturer's information straight from the service manual:

Japan Cine Equipment Mfg. Co. Ltd.
2-2135, Misumicho, Higashimurayamashi
Tokyo, Japan

Evidently, Bell & Howell owned 90% of Japan Cine Equipment Mfg. Co. Ltd.
