This is to Dan, It's not unavoidable to have clicks. When I reassembled Any Given Sunday, I took a Dremel tool to the splicer I was using so that I could match up frame to frame through the splices but slightly overlapped the soundtrack. The sound does jump from missing frames but no click or bump in the soundtrack since where it overlapped it was darker letting less light through. So a quick dead spot rather than a click or thump in the sound.
