Haven't used UPS in ages...they royally screwed up overnight delivery of a six figure check for one of my clients. I strongly suggested the client have the money wired to them, but they insisted on a paper check. Fine. Into the UPS envelope on a Friday afternoon went the check. Then...it vanished. The participant who signed the check had returned to S. Korea and had to be contacted to cancel and draft a new check, etc. etc. etc. etc. A ROYAL mess. End result?? The check was delivered by UPS TWO WEEKS LATER. Seems the pick up driver did NOT scan the envelope when he removed it from the drop off box or some such nonsense offered as an excuse/ reason by the company. Also, I have a client, an attorney, who doesn't even want to HEAR the name UPS...
